Uzunköprü Municipality

As the lead partner, Uzunköprü Municipality is responsible for the overall coordination of the project. It will implement a green infrastructure investment by establishing the city’s first urban community garden and a climate awareness park in Uzunköprü.
Istanbul University – Cerrahpaşa

As the academic partner of the project, it will establish and operate an international Research Laboratory (LANDLAB) to assess urban heat effects and develop green solutions.
Municipality of
Sozopol

Based on the project findings, Sozopol Municipality will develop its own Heat Resilience Strategy and construct an eco-friendly pedestrian path and a rainwater harvesting facility for irrigation within a park area.
Municipality of Batumi

By leveraging the expertise of LANDLAB, Batumi Municipality will develop its own Heat Resilience Strategy and ensure citizen participation in decision-making processes.
Municipality of Kavala

By promoting circularity in green resources, Kavala Municipality will invest in the creation of “green islands” by removing existing trees and replanting them in densely urbanized areas.
